A PATIENT’S HAIR RESTORATION JOURNEY
A 29 year old patient opted for NeoGraft Hair Restoration with the Team at Buckhead Hair Restoration because Dr. Monte Slater educated him and explained the procedure in depth, as well as what to expect.
He realized it was important to allow us to document his Journey to share with others that are considering this minimally invasive “Hair Restoration Method.”
There will be no linear scar and he can come back for more grafts in in the future. He will most likely loose more hair at the Crown of his head, as he suffers from Male Pattern Baldness.
He will also commit to NeoLTS Light Therapy which is known to assist in healing the graft site.
6-8 Month down the road Buckhead Hair Restoration’s Team will be following up with PRP Therapy (Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy).
We will draw his blood and spin it in a centrifuge to separate the plasma, (healing growth factors) from the rest of the blood. The PRP can be injected directly in the scalp, or can be infused via the use of a Micro Needling Pen into the graft site and the rest of the scalp.
PRP can further assist in stimulating the “Re-Growth Process.”

Day 1 (Day of the Procedure)
Uncomfortable only in the donor area. Slept in inclined position. No bleeding, slight swelling.

Scabs are beginning to flake off. No pain in the “Hair Graft Area.” Patient shows no signs of swelling. Patient is instructed to use baby shampoo in the shower and begin to remove scabs with finger tips not finger nails.

Scalp and donor site show no sign of a hair transplant, unlike with the Strip Method. Patient is ecstatic and has resumed all daily activities. Occasional discomfort at the donor site has been reported. This is normal during the healing process and is so minor that no medication is needed. Week 3

Graft site is healing. Grafted hair is beginning to fall out a bit and will regrow healthy hair within the next 6-8 weeks.
Donor site is completely healed on the outside. It will take a few month to completely heal from the inside out. An occasional stinging sensation, or slight aching in the “Donor Area” is completely normal and part of the healing process.
There are no visible signs of a “Hair Transplant.”
After 1 Month
Donor site completely covered with hair 1 month after the NeoGraft Procedure
Grafted hair is beginning to fall out and will begin to grow back around the third month (the natural hair growth cycle).
